Deputy Nursery Manager Ref: 891166

Job Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity if you are an experienced Third in Charge and looking for the next step in your career, or a Deputy Nursery Manager looking for a new challenge. The nursery is based within a Children's Centre in Northolt.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide a positive role model to the staff team.
  • To support and liaise with the Nursery Manager on a daily basis.
  • To induct, support and mentor new staff, carry out staff supervise meetings, conduct regular staff assessments, recognising training needs, monitoring training and developing teamwork, jointly with the Manager.
  • To support the Nursery Manager in developing and maintaining links within the local community to create a positive nursery profile.
  • To support the Nursery Manager in creating and maintaining successful and professional partnerships with parents/carers.
  • Provide leadership and day-to-day management for nursery staff.

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

  • Minimum NVQ 3 childcare and education or recognised equivalent.
  • Experience in the EYFS
  • A high degree of professionalism.
  • A knowledge of safeguarding practices.
  • A minimum of two years post qualifying leadership experience in full day care settings
  • An ability to lead, manage and inspire a team successfully together with good interpersonal skills
